anyway. as to what sharon said on her blog (the new one, you can get there from my links page), i said they were bad because.. 

it took me all of 10 minutes or less to get those improvements that you guys seemed to like so much (just duplicate a layer, add gaussian blur, and brighten). i acknowledge that it must have taken a lot of effort on someone's part, in this case, your mother's, but they were simple mistakes that were easily corrected but lead to the overall effect of the pictures looking not as good as they could've been, giving off this alang-alang vibe, like someone writing an essay but not doing a spell check. 

the harshness, the coloring and the deadness (which was basically due to the coloring) were simply minor details. the actual taking of the pictures was fine, and i give kudos to whoever the photographer was for getting you guys to all get in one place and sit still at once (a joke, do not misunderstand =_=), though some bits were slightly blurry, but then again, most pictures are. i do not expect your mother's life to be "dedicated to photoshop and to making your pictures look nice" but i did expect the job to be slightly more professional and not to be left hanging. but then again these ARE minor things and were overlooked and i am expecting too much. 

i never said it was anybody's FAULT alena and emir couldn't get there, i do not expect them to spend thousands on flight tickets just to be in a picture. however, i also did not expect emir's hand to cut off into nowhere, when, once more, it was easily corrected (or at least made more discreet. i am lazy heh). i am just saying the job was not as complete as it might have been, though i am sure the people involved worked hard on it.

i did say that person should not be hired again, admittedly (that was to make it sound dramatic wtf). that is because i assume you guys, or at least, your mother, would've paid to get the photos taken. and if she did pay, then i do not think, she should use the same person again as she is not getting her money's worth (most photographers correct color/lighting for you and i expected this one to do so too). this is not your mother's fault in any way. 

about people making fun of you.. they're stupid. people make fun of, lets say, brit spears' bad pictures, that's cos she's famous and more awesome than they are, and they know it. you guys perform at an international music festival year after year and make great music, those pictures shouldn't be something you feel embarrassed about. 

next time someone gives you any shit about those pictures...

and i know you didn't ask me to photoshop. but i did because i wanted them to look better because, as you have said, i am your cousin and i do not like seeing your pictures turn out looking bad either.

what was i going to do? gloss my words and say something like "oh yes the original pictures were simply wonderful and stunning... now here are the ones i editted." 

it is not a personal hit, i was just being honest. 

the whole thing was not meant to be a big deal or an insult to anybody and honestly i think you're kinda overreacting about it. 

if anyone is out there reading my blog "from lodge or tunku whom are friends or enemies" with the band who are still hating about the pictures, shut up cos 1) you cannot make better music than them, 2) THEY are the celebrities performing at rainforest, and 3) the pictures (in my opinion heh) now look xmillion better so you have NOTHING TO MAKE FUN OF NYARRANANA THEY ARE BETTER THAN YOU.(and me. nghek)
